St. Ignatius School offers spaces for students in our Before School and After School programs. The fee structure is outlined in the Extended Day policy, available at the school office. Parents must apply for the program in writing by late April. Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Before School Program
The Before School Program is available from 7:30 a.m. to 8:35 a.m. At 8:35 a.m. students are released to the school playground, where adult supervision is provided until the bell rings at 8:50 a.m.
After School Program
The After School Program begins at 3:30 p.m. (2:30 p.m. on early dismissal days) and ends at 5:30 p.m. Students in the After School program report directly to the program co-ordinator upon dismissal from their classrooms. The After School program is run by qualified staff and includes a nutritious snack, outdoor play (weather permitting), indoor activities, movie Fridays, and quiet time for homework. This program is not available on days with 11:35 a.m. early-dismissal.
Child Care for Professional Development and Administration Days
St. Ignatius School offers child care on Professional Development and Administrative days. There are only 40 spots available each day. Throughout the day, students alternate between activities including:
Free play in the gymnasium
Games and crafts in the multipurpose room
Computer time in the lab
This program will run from 7:30am - 5:30 pm. The supervisory staff will consist of Extended Day staff that currently work at St. Ignatius School. Activities are planned throughout the day. One late afternoon snack will be provided. Students are expected to bring snacks and lunch as they normally would on a school day.
$35.00/per day for the first child
$17.50/per day for each additional child
Families will be invoiced on the 1st of every month as part of the Extended Day Program; therefore, families must register with Extended Day. (Casual or Regular) If you would like to have your child attend on these days, please register on-line using the link below.
