The Board of Directors includes parents and Parish members. Our mission is at the core of all matters concerning budget, policy and direction. Thanks to those who provide vision and leadership through their expertise, dedication, time and generosity.

About the Board
Established on Aug. 29, 1979, the Board is a corporate entity named St. Ignatius School Inc. Board Directors can be elected or appointed and may serve up to two three-year terms. The Board can have up to 20 directors with seven of those being elected. The Pastor is an ex-officio member of the Board and can appoint up to 10 directors at his discretion.
The positions of Chairperson and Vice Chairperson are elected annually from the existing Board of Directors. The position of Treasurer is appointed by the Board and acts as chairperson for the Finance Committee in addition to sitting on the Parish Finance Council. The role of Secretary is provided by the school’s Administrative Assistant.
Chairperson’s Message
We currently have 10 members on the St. Ignatius Board of Directors, representing school parents and parish members. Our role is mainly strategic — we develop and implement school initiatives and vision, provide leadership through change, and foster the school goals — never losing sight of our school’s Mission.
We meet once a month, except for July and August.
We rely on the generosity and expertise of parents and parishioners to fill open positions on the Board as they become vacant. Vacant positions are advertised in late spring, and the elections and appointments occur at our Annual General Meeting in June. If you are open and willing to serve on the Board, please put your name forward when the time comes.
We are incredibly blessed to have great leadership and a wonderful staff working at St. Ignatius. I have three children currently attending the school, and I'm so thankful for the men and women who work hard every day to create the culture of caring and learning that is evident the moment you enter the halls of our school.
We are also very fortunate to have a great parents’ association (SISPAC); these parent volunteers add so much to our school’s sense of community. If your son/daughter attends St. Ignatius then you are a member of SISPAC, and I know you would be welcome at their monthly meetings. I encourage you to seek out opportunities to get involved with this wonderful organization.
