About Us
For over 100 years, St. Ignatius School has provided quality education in a Christ-centered environment. Our students learn and grow spiritually, intellectually and physically. We are an independent Catholic school serving about 245 children in pre-kindergarten to Grade 8.
Excellence in Education
We promote student success through a diverse and challenging academic program. Students learn French from Kindergarten through Grade 8. Music is an important part of our curriculum from Nursery to Grade 6, with the additional option of private voice or piano lessons. In the middle years, students expand their practical skills through our shops program, including industrial arts and home economics. We offer a fully equipped computer lab, as well as a class set of iPads for academic use in the classroom.
Empowerment through Experience
In addition to academic success, our students learn that they have the gifts and the responsibility to enrich the community around them.
Our wide variety of extra-curricular activities promote student engagement outside the classroom. These are opportunities for students of all ages to gain leadership skills, explore different interests and expand their learning community.
Guided in Faith
St. Ignatius School is a ministry of St. Ignatius Parish. We were cofounded by the Jesuits of the Parish and the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary. We continue a strong tradition of Catholic education, fostering characteristics of an ignatian school. Our religious program helps students to discover who they are in the traces of God's presence in and around them.
